History

Serving major markets throughout the West, Brasher’s Auto Auctions offer a full range of remarketing services including reconditioning, inspections, transportation, inventory financing, and wholesale automotive, salvage, specialty, and Internet auctions. Brasher’s Auto Auctions remarket vehicles for wholesale consignors including dealers, manufacturers, rental car companies, banks, finance and leasing institutions. Brasher’s customer base draws from Utah, Idaho, Nevada, Colorado, California, Washington, Oregon, Montana, and Canada.

Brasher’s, founded by Frank Brasher in 1949, is among the oldest auto auction companies in the country. Brasher’s was one of the first to offer dealer floor planning, which Frank introduced in the 1950s. Full reconditioning was offered in the 1950s and transport service by an auction-owned fleet began in the 1960s. Frank also recognized the significance of the fleet and lease business and began selling cars for ARI in the 1950s. Brasher’s was also among the first auctions in the country to host sales for Ford, General Motors, and Chrysler in the 1960s. Brasher's was among the first to implement a computerized auction management system in 1977. They contribute tremendous industry leadership, having been instrumental in helping conceive and implement Auto Auction Services Corporation (AASC), with Larry Brasher serving as its first President. Brasher's auctions were among the first to offer online simulcast sales in the late 1990s. With two partner auctions, they founded the Auction Pipeline, which is now the premier online sales channel for independent auctions in the United States. Continually pressing the envelope, Brasher's auctions are innovators in every sense. From implementing double blocks in the auction arena to carrying out successful online booksheet sales, they never rest and will innovate for years to come.

Brasher’s Auctions are selling more vehicles every year as the market in the West continues to expand. Brasher’s Auctions are proud to host regular RV sales that are proving to be the premier boat and RV sales west of the Mississippi. Most importantly, Brasher’s commitment to dealer consignment and service has not changed since its first auction opened its doors more than 60 years ago.
